Anamaria Marinca bio
Anamaria Marinca is an Romanian actress. She won the British Academy Television Award Best Actress award for her role in the Channel 4 film Sex Traffic. French, German English fluently. Her father is a theatre professor at one of Romania's most prestigious drama schools. The award was presented to her as the Best Female Actor of the Year 2000 Award during the young Actor Gala Mangalia. In 2008 the European Film Promotion Board recognized her as a European Shooting Star. Apart from her stellar performance in her debut film the actress is also remembered for role in the Romanian art-film 4 Months 3 Weeks as well as 2 Days which won her several laurels including the European Film Award for Best Actress London Film Critics. In 2007, she was a part of in the Romanian film 4 luni 3 weeks si 2 days (4 months, 3 weeks and 2 days) by Cristian Mungiu, which won the Palme d'Or at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival and two additional awards (the Cinema Prize of the French National Education System and the FIPRESCI prize). Additionally, she was the child character in the film of Francis Ford Coppola's Youth Without Youth. In 2008, Marinca played Yasim in BBC's five episode The Last Enemy. Marinca played the role in The Romanian drama Boogie as well as Oliver Hirschbiegel's highly popular Five Minutes of Heaven. In the movie Fury (2014), she played Irma who was a German woman who played Emma's aunt.
